DO I NEED TO BE A CERTAIN AGE TO TAKE CLASSES?
Yes. Eighteen and above only, please!
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?
Get our app! Search FIT STUDIO NY in the app store. You can purchase credits in the “Services” tab and book classes in just a couple of taps.
To sign up for a class on a computer, head on over to our schedule. Click on the class that interests you and you will be directed from there. If it’s your first time, you will be asked to register. If you already have an account with us, you will simply log in.
WHAT IF A CLASS IS FULL?
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. You will automatically be added to the class if a spot opens up and receive an email notification (make sure your email notifications are turned ON). You can also contact us to set up SMS notifications.
Occasionally email servers reject our emails, so please be sure to check the app as well to see if you have gotten into a class.
UNTIL WHEN CAN I BE ADDED TO CLASS FROM A WAITLIST?
Until a moment before class starts. We have late cancels and waitlisters are added to the class on a rolling basis.
You absolutely MUST remove yourself from the waitlist once you can no longer make the class. It is always possible that you will be added – even if you are #10 (or higher) on the list. If you are added to the class and you cannot make it, it will be considered a late cancel.
HOW MUCH IN ADVANCE CAN I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?
We open class sign-ups for the day one week in advance.
CAN I WALK IN?
Sort of! If you do, please make sure to sign in when you arrive, either by booking on your phone or checking in with the front desk.
However, if a class is sold out, you’ll have to walk right back home. Yikes. Your call!
WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you decide not to attend a class, you must cancel a minimum of 12+ hours before class start time. Your credit will be returned to your account.
If you cancel within the cancellation window (within 12 hours of class start time), the class will be deducted from your account, or if you are on an unlimited membership, you will be charged $10.
If you are a no-show, package-holders will lose the class + incur a $10 fee; members will be charged $15.
We know, it’s a bummer all-around. Don’t do it!

SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING?
Yes. A water bottle. We have a cooler for refills and single-use bottles for purchase. For all other personal items, we have lockers in the entry and in our locker room to pop your stuff in.
WHERE SHOULD I STAND?
Wherever you feel most comfortable! Please be mindful of the people around you and keep an even distance to avoid inadvertently punching anyone in the face.
ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GENERAL DECORUM?
BE KIND. Everyone wants to have a good workout and a good time. Check your ego at the door. Treat others how you would want to be treated.
Please keep talking to a minimum while classes are in session, especially during the explanatory portions. The energy in the room is a huge component of motivation and the overall experience, and excessive and/or too-loud talking kills the vibe.
CAN I RESERVE A SPECIFIC SPOT IN THE STUDIO?
Lol no. Not ahead of time, not via your friend, not with your water bottle or cell. Every spot is free game until there is a body in it and the music starts rolling.
IS THIS GYM WOMEN-ONLY?
WHAT HAPPENS IF I COME LATE?
Mostly stink-eye. Also a potential injury because you missed the warm up. And confusion because you didn’t catch all the exercise demos. But like, we almost definitely won’t come after your family.
CAN I LEAVE EARLY?
While strongly discouraged, if you do need to leave early, we advise doing some sort of solo cool down and stretch.
I HAVE AN INJURY. CAN I STILL TAKE CLASSES?
If you have clearance from your doctor or other medical specialist, we welcome you to take classes. Please let the instructor know ahead of class the nature of your injury so she can provide modifications. The most important thing, however, is to listen to you own body. If you feel inappropriate pain or discomfort, back off and let the instructor know.
AT WHAT FITNESS LEVEL ARE YOUR CLASSES?
Our classes are high intensity but extremely scalable. We have everyone from total beginners to total athletes. And, more importantly, we have total beginners who have become total athletes.
We are, however, a studio for hustlers. So whatever max effort means to you – that’s what we’re looking for you to bring. That collective energy and drive to push limits fuels the fire that lights up every class, that makes the FIT experience next-level fun, effective, and highly addictive.
ARE YOU A CULT?
Aside from taking vows and the blood drawings when you sign up, probably not!
Okay, but really- our culture is awesome and our classes kick ass, so we tend inspire some serious devotion in our members. We’re also a super friendly and non-intimidating bunch, so social ties (both new and old) make us extra excited about showing up.

CAN I TEXT OR TALK ON THE PHONE WHILE IN CLASS?
Please move to the entry area or back of the studio to handle texts while class is in session, and outside the studio to handle calls. If you do this, please tell us after class, so we can give you a high-five for being a considerate human being.

WHAT’S THE PARKING SITUATION?
The parking lot on the block can be used for all evening classes and morning classes that end by 9:30 am. For the remaining morning classes, there is metered street parking available. Street parking is free before 9:00 am and after 7:00 pm.
DO YOU OFFER BABYSITTING?
We do! Currently it is offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for our 9:15am and 10:15am classes. If there is enough interest, we are happy to add additional days. Please let us know!
